The absolute irony of a literal british monarch coming to congress to remind the american executive branch about the importance of checks and balances is wild. george washington is probably doing backflips in his grave right now tbh.
It would be a fine thing if these “checks and balances” were real, instead of a fantasy.

The fact that a certain subreddit is trying to use any cheering and applauds to his speech as indicating that the democrats want a king is….other then totally in line with what goes on there, mind boggling.
Charles: “Checks and Balances”
Congress: “yay!”
Congress the next day: “Checks and Balances? After the inspiring speech I had my wife BALANCE my CHECKbook last night. So I’m all good.”
Press: “How much was it off by?”
Congress: “I’ve got a meeting”
And Trump had to comment about how “He got the Democrats to stand, I’ve never been able to do that, I couldn’t believe it”.
Pretty grim situation when the *actual* king is the one advocating for checks and balances for government, and the MAGA GOP are the ones criticizing the idea….
As a Brit who was not a fan of Charles coming over, I’m so glad he did and proud of him for standing up like this. His mum was an amazing lady and she’s raised a great King
American people are hungry of seeing true leadership from our government.
It’s been like like 465 days that we don’t have a proper president.
Instead of uniting and inspiring us to love our country, Trump has been working hard to create chaos and divide us .
He continues to rape America by using the office of the president to go against his political enemies and to enrich himself.
We need a leader , not a wanna be king.

So nice of him to remind Congress what their job is. I mean great, I’m glad democrats cheered I guess but this also makes them look kind of pathetic.
