  1. MAGA cares more about pleasing deer 🦌 leader by parroting, than they do about potentially losing deer 🦌 leader.

We are past the point of sanity.  These things he says are such obvious fabrications, and his vast hord of disciples are no longer, nor have been for a long time, sane individuals.

  3. The article is great. It points out why “MAGA” is so successful. You’ve seen Republicans on TV and in media for decades now repeating the same talking points where Democrats are all over the place. This is just a further extension of that into social media.

We’ve seen it. We believe it’s happening. We recognize it for what it is. It’s still nice to have a bit of more formal reinforcement of that.

*If there’s one lesson to be learned from the exposure of these inauthentic campaigns, it’s that liberals should perhaps be a little more hesitant before hopping onto whatever is being touted in unison among the right. Conservatives so often define online debates because they know how to spam the feeds, have enough cash incentives to do so, and realize that the left will frequently take the bait. But with the knowledge of how “fake” it all is (to use St. Clair’s own descriptor), there’s no reason to give these grievances any more oxygen. Everyone looks like they’re talking about the ballroom, but no one really is—besides Trump himself*

I really wish this bit of truth carried more weight with people

With MAGA, there are many truths. It just depends on which alternative facts the believe in the moment.

One of the saddest parts about this article is the mention of the young lady being recruited by Turning Point to drop out of university. There is another young man on YouTube that mentioned that he was led to be financially dependent on Turning Point. God created us with free will and our own dreams and desires, why are young people being encouraged to drop out of college!?

  7. Before you could say “Gypsy Scum” we were knee deep in dog muck, thieving kids and crusty jugglers.

  8. Playful_Set9711 on

Gee, I dunno…maybe if we tried making peace with the world we wouldn’t need a drone-proof ballroom. Just a thought.

  9. Naive_Confidence7297 on

If you are republican. The entire world thinks you’re a sick in the head fuck if you this is all fine, and they are right

The immediate investigation needs to be how this administration can fill in the obvious security holes in its security detail. Regardless of whether or not some ballroom materializes in the future, the president will be in a similar situation again.

  11. Jimmy_Beam27 on

He wants the ballroom funded so he and his buddies can skim as much as they can.

Its what the Mexico wall was supposed to be

“[A]s a 19-year-old, she was recruited by Turning Point USA to drop out of college and pursue lib-trolling full time.”

  13. Really helps that Republicans have tons of dark money and media ownership that they leverage to pay for this and disseminate things so widely. Their control over social media manufactures consent in a way that would make Goebbels weep for joy.

  14. rupturedprolapse on

Defecting conservatives have been saying this for a while. Forget which, but one straight up likened conservative messaging tactics as when WWE plays applause through the loud speakers to convince the audience to clap.

  15. beforeitcloy on

Tl;dr popular MAGA influencers on Twitter, etc are in group chats with administration officials and other surrogates who tell them what message to push to their followers. The influencers are paid for their propaganda.

The source is Ashley St Cloud, who doesn’t deserve your attention because she’s an ex-MAGA grifter and Elon’s baby mama, who is only exposing the grift because she got kicked out. She sucks.

Next thing you’ll tell me that the tea party wasn’t just grass roots individuals with no top down coordination

  17. Obviously it’s not needed.

But the best response to the “we need a ballroom” nonsense is to say “so Trump isn’t going to go to Mar-a-lago ever again because it’s not as secure as his new ballroom? He won’t go to events there or golf there again?”

If he’s willing to go there for dinners and golfing and events, then it proves the “we need a secure ballroom” talk is just nonsense.

  18. So to correct this coordinated trend of political disinformation any payments to “influencers” need to be disclosed as a paid political ad. Makes sense to me. Will it happen? Probably not.

  19. biggaybrian2 on

That quisling Fetterman came out with the exact same ‘drop the TDS and fund the ballroom’ nonsense, he really gave himself away on this one

  20. chillin_n_grillin on

Or, If you’re so afraid of getting shot and can’t organize proper security, stop having balls. Maybe the money it saves tax-payers can be used toward health care or education.

  21. I can’t figure out if this is a grift to give his family another 400 million in government contracts or if he’s planning on staying in power after 2028.

  22. So my theory is that the military brass called the bunker under the East Wing the “ballroom”, and when they told the President it was antiquated and needed to be updated, he took it literally.

  23. whiskeydevoe on

I do wish the media would stop talking about how Trump was “shot in the ear”. No, he wasn’t. If he was, prove it. Show the medical report. Damage like that doesn’t magically heal in a week. He got scratched – probably by a gun – and bled on his ear.

  24. Ok_Surprise_4090 on

It’s kind of fascinating how everybody knew but it went unconfirmed for so long, I guess.

  25. Kozmic_River on

Trump wants the new bunker to shield him from the consequences of his actions—past, present, and future. All the other billionaires are building their bunkers, but he gets his subsidized by the American people and through “private donations,” which I’m almost certain will be more than likely linked to some more pay 2 play corruption because that’s just who he is, and this is where we are at.

I thought the electoral college was meant to shelter the country from uninformed/uneducated voters and do what’s best for the country. Can someome please explain their purpose in the modern day?

I wasn’t puzzled to be honest. Fam is just trying to build another monument to himself while draining public coffers. This fits his usual M.O. perfectly.
