I’m so happy that the people who were raised by the fascist fighters grew up to embrace fascism. If it wasn’t for their stupidity, we would be a much more successful, innovative, and powerful nation.

Wait, so we are just supposed to be okay with them dismantling the most important piece of civil rights legislation in history? The audacity is honestly wild. They are making it easier for states to just block whoever they want from the booths, and we all know exactly who that is going to affect the most. It is not an “opinion,” it is a power grab, plain and simple. Medgar Evers would be absolutely disgusted by what is happening right now.

Kinda wish you’d voted for Hillary all those years ago when there was an open supreme Court seat.

So, what is to be done about this rogue court?

  4. Insanity prevails in the US at this point.

    – RFKjr just announced ban on jello in hospitals (??????), war on vaccines & cancer research, substandard care & overpriced health care / prescriptions (at a criminal level might I add)

    – admin appoints another fox news anchor to an important position (US admin=Fox news hosts), just pure insanity.

-Putting the Orange Menace’s mug on money, passports, buildings, institutions (ie Kennedy centre)… They’ve gone mad.

-Allowing Hile Hitlering Muskie doped up creep to cut govt prgs, life saving funds, allowing Karp’s (another coked out creep from silicon valley) in charge of food suppy chain… these freaks in charge of so many vital aspects of American life

-EPA gutted and a character like Lee Z something in charge of destroying any sensible environment protection (to ultimately protect Americans against highly polluting corporations)

-jailing random people of colour, whether citizens or not & deporting them to hostile nations, and now looking to cancel birthright citizenship, eliminating dual citizenship, chasing out professionals in every field (or disappearances/killings thereof)

What group is behind this coup d’état? Who has created all this damage to the US? WHO?

If this is a joke, it isn’t funny at all –

  5. I am surprised it took them so long.

They are REALLY open about what they gonna do.

  6. SCOTUS opened the flood gates to unconstitutional voting where minorities will never receive representation!!

Don’t worry with these economic policy is gonna take us back to the dark ages.

  8. Yeah, but look on the bright side … at least you did not elect someone who was just not good enough a candidate like Hillary Clinton or Kamala Harris, you elected two old farts instead.

This whole thing is a fucking shit show. Their plan to gerrymander didn’t work because a) they lost ground with the voters they based their new maps around and 2) Dems did it back. So now they pull this shit

  10. dahmer-on-dahmer on

So lmk if I’m getting this right: it’s now illegal to gerrymander maps based on race?

Roberts’ work: one man anonymously derailed Obama’s climate initiative by creating this blatantly unconstitutional evil creation, the shadow docket. This smiling dork also fought the early 80s reforms to the VRA from inside Ed Meese’s far right think tank of a DOJ (yes they have been working against the rights of WTP every chance they get).

And now, his crowning achievement, a final blow to any pretense of a multi-racial republic.

Hard to top Holder and Citizens United, but here we are. If you could not trouble yourself to vote for Hillary in 2016, this is on you. Happy?

Will the Senate rush new Trump appointees before the midterms? Dare Senate Republicans abrogate the filibuster…? Bet on it.

    We must expand the court.

  12. Whatever happened to ‘free and fair elections’.

Man the USA has fallen so far down the totem pole on anything related to integrity on a global scale.

It’s basically a ‘Sure Jan’ to any claims about freedom they’re making these days.

  13. The Supreme Court only rules in favor of whatever Republicans and conservatives want. Maybe not 100% of the time but its probably higher than 90% of the time. Its a court that operates as a machine to cement a one party political takeover via legal means.

Twice now, Americans have proven that they would rather destroy themselves than vote for a woman.

Pre-civil rights era?  Really?  So this brought back poll taxes and literacy tests?

You think the Hispanic ICE members are walking around like yea Nazi’s are awesome.

  17. Can someone ELI5 this? As far as I understand the rules about redrawing districts are now rolled back to older standing laws but what does this mean in reality? What can the Republicans now do that they couldn’t before?

  18. Not that this is BLM’s fault or anything, but I guess it’s now safe to say that the movement has unfortunately been a failure. And of course, to meet the desperation of the moment, democrat leadership will… send another strongly worded letter I guess. Maybe another 20 billion dollars to Israel while we’re at it! Nice. Fantastic.

I tire of capitalist “democracy” and the fascism inevitably born from it. Communism it is. That’ll put those inbred racists and out of touch capitalists that buy our politicians in their place! Or, I guess we can do slight incremental liberal changes over the next 20 years to get society back to where we were in the fucking 1960s. I’m sure people of color won’t mind waiting in the meantime!

I wonder if this could lead to another reverse migration of black voters back to northern states and cities with fair maps?

  20. BlueberryHorror4902 on

So I assume some bullshit was going on back in the day. Congress passes a law that says ‘no more of that bullshit,’ and now someone files a lawsuit saying ‘that law doesn’t say what it says.’ The Supreme Court waits for the case to make its way to them, and then say ‘You are correct, it doesn’t.’

So how does that work? How is there no context for what that law was supposed to stop?

Time to take collective action, mobilize, boycott, strike, protest, volunteer to get out the vote, donate and speak to everyone in your sphere of influence. The 2026 primaries and midterm elections are the fight of our lives. If our brave ancestors did it once we can do it again. This will not stand.

    Let’s go.💪🏼🌍🖖🏼

Canvass for southern states from the comfort of your own home! Find progressive candidates who are running – even if you do not live in disenfranchised areas of the south — and text or phone bank for them, donate to their campaigns, and spread the word on your socials (Mobilize is one place to start). Democracy is a team sport.

it baffles me how much people in the US can take silently.. here in Europe most countries would have stopped if someone attempted half of what has been happening there. I am so angry for you guys and this doesn’t even affect me..
