Trump says a lot. Until it’s an agreement on both sides, I’m not holding my breath.

Keeping an eye on and protecting dozens of ships each day is almost certainly going to be costly.

Also, it will only take one escorted tanker being hit by Iran to spook the other tankers.

This is not a serious solution in my opinion.

I wonder how much $$$ he will make this week while simultaneously taking more $$$ from American citizens?

  4. The question is if Iran agreed to this and if not: Will they try to stop it?

  5. This is like when he told people go back into office during the height of Covid. He wants to restart the economy and doesn’t about the pain and death inflicted on others.

  6. Interesting. So iran now has a choice to either watch the ships go by or confront the US in the strait and break the ceasefire.

Edit: I’m not familiar with the US laws, so i would appreciate it if someone explain to me what would be the consequences if that happens, can USA declare war in that scenario?

  7. Translation: ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE?!

The Iranians are going to throw everything they’ve got with the intent of smashing the region’s oil production for a decade.

I can’t think of anything more expensive than this. This is fucking wildly stupid.

Sure thing, regardless of kamikaze drones from the sky, on the water, under the water, it shall be fine.

Out of or inside? I dont really see what difference it would make outside the gulf and as far as I know us navy hasn’t really dared to go deep into the gulf yet, and im guessing wont.

  11. What about getting through Hormuz. I thought the difficulty was getting through the straight, not from it.

What the US prez says no longer matters. It’ll be something else in 24 hrs anyway

Such fucking bullshit. Constantly lying cause his ass is stuck, he knows it and can’t stand the thought of his inferiority failing.

And what will be the fee, isn’t still 2,000,000 each ship , and you don’t pay is it the standard breaking of fingers or legs, that’s how these rackets go is it not?

Is this like how during campaigning the second time, the promised to be a protector of women, even if they didn’t want to be protected, then systemically had reproductive rights etc all overturned?

I don’t think he understands the normal amount of traffic that straight sees.

  17. I thought Trump didn’t care and said that other countries who used the strait could deal with it because the US didn’t need access.

  18. From Hormuz, or through Hormuz ?

Escorting ships once they get out of the danger zone, that’s something that can be done free from danger to US warships.

Wait, didn’t he just say that the action there was done after market hours ended on Friday? I assumed it was a lie because his ~~asshole~~ lips were moving, but still chuckle when the narrative doesn’t even hold for 48h.

  20. I can’t believe people fall for this every week. On Sunday, he makes up some BS to calm the markets on Monday and the MSM dutifully reports it as fact. That’s it. None of this is really happening.

  21. Fearless_Ad_5470 on

It seems completely sensible to have pirates accompany cargo ships for protection.😋

  22. This is only a serious solution if someone is willing to insure the ships. Anyone ready for Taco Tuesday?

Hes tryna increase share prices for when markets open in several hours …. just another money maker hes trying to spin to enrich hisself and his family and friends

  24. Honestly atleast they pulled back from boots on the ground, they were definitely testing the idea though with all the news channels talking about it.
