An excuse to invade and put boots on the ground since the current administration didn’t have a follow through strategy.
Doesn’t hurt that it’ll give US control of the oil supply that China needs and hinders their ability to take Taiwan which they’ve stated is their intention.
Proxy war with China for the Petrodollar and tech investments.
