Our city passed an urban forestry plan that aims for 35% tree canopy by 2045. They plant a lot of trees and are reducing pavement on some roads which allows for trees. Cost is a big factor though, especially maintenance. Private land owners need to do more though. Even me!

My city has a lot of trees and is known locally for it. It does feel noticeably cooler than the surrounding cities but there is a downside. They only plant female trees so every spring you get shotgunned with pollen. If you have bad allergies you’re cookedÂ
