Ultra-High Voltage: A high-power electricity transmission technology. It sends large amounts of power across very long distances with very low energy waste.

The network nearly doubled in five years, growing from 39,000 km in 2020 to 62,000 km (approx. 38,500 miles) in 2025. These "electricity highways" funnel wind, solar, and hydro power from the Gobi Desert and western highlands to the East.

The Capacity: the power capacity of a single UHV line is 3x that of any major backbone power line in the US.
