I just returned from vacationing in Europe. I was surprised to see how common the mix of energy production was. Wind, solar, oil, etc. Often in the same locations. Parking lots with covered solar and adjacent wind farms right at a oil refinery for example. They seemed to do a good job at embracing a mix.

Utility-scale solar photovoltaics (PV) and onshore wind are currently the cheapest forms of new electricity generation globally, often costing less to build and operate than new fossil fuel plants. Why Trump and his MAGAs are ignoring the economics of clean energy is a mystery.
