Reprehensible. Using sexual violence for the explicit purpose of torture is disgusting.
It should be condemned*and* recognized that the IDF, ICE, SAF and RSF and Russian forces are also using sexual violence the same way. So when we condemn Hamas for this grotesque violence, we need to condemn it everywhere.
But it benefits powerful political entities to amplify Hamas’ violence and hide others. And unfortunately, that is part of the discussion than just supporting the victims.
