I always wondered about the engineering behind terminal guidance. Fpv’s for example have a flight computer and vision data built in, i guess if you wanted the code to run autonomously youd need some sort of companion board and you could slap in lidar or something for better data, but it seems weirdly reasonable to accomplish yet clearly it’s hard af since we arent seeing it on fpvs etc, so i must be missing something.
Like radio drones suffer from low altitude LoS so autonomous terminal guidance sounds like it’d be really nice
