  1. Stephen Miller: “My liege, this idea of yours may effectuate a disadvantage to the creation of a worldwide Nazi empire. I suggest more…*subtlety*.”

    Trump: “What those words mean?”

Stephen Miller: *Sighs*. “Big heap pardons *no good*. Bad thought. Me have better thought. *You savvy?*”

    Trump: “Oh, yes! Very good.”

  2. >Each act, each occasion, is worse than the last, but only a little worse. You wait for the next and the next. You wait for one great shocking occasion, thinking that others, when such a shock comes, will join with you in resisting somehow.

  3. > Elsewhere in Washington, Trump is building a $15 million “Triumphal Arc,” and is constructing a 90,000-square-foot ballroom at the White House that is likely going to cost taxpayers $1 billion (against his initial promises that it wouldn’t cost more than $200 million and that it would be entirely funded by private donations).

Can somebody please ask him to show the **new** sketches of the enlarged ballroom? Because at this rate it’s going to be a skyscraper.

The sheep are getting a little too bold about their pesky “rights”—gotta reintroduce some wolves to restore balance to the ecosystem.

  5. Pardon power needs a fine tuned limit of what is appropriate. It was intended to right an unjust harsh ruling of standing law. Now it just means “get out of jail free” for -Anything- For the right price.

Roman emperors were known to do this. I think we know who he is modeling himself after.

I think it says so much that when he was asked about pardoning Diddy he said he didn’t think so. Not because Diddy stood trial and was found guilty by a jury of his peers, not because he’s on video beating a woman ruthlessly. But because Diddy wasn’t very nice to trump in 2020.

We need to pass a law limiting how many pardons a president can give out per year.

  9. As i understand the established law from the supreme court, the subsequent president could simply have seal team 6 assassinate all trump’s pardons?

    That’s correct?

  10. The pardons have been a complete joke since Nixon, nobody seems to care about this monarchy bullshit making a mockery of the justice system.

    > Trump has big, expensive plans for the county’s semiquincentennial. They include … athletic competitions for high schoolers called “Patriot Games.”

May the odds be ever in your favor.

  12. He likes being king. On his birthday the king will forgive this many people. Or whoever pays him the most.

  13. Read the article. The title is misleading. No one is panicking. Per the article, “Some people in the White House have expressed concerns.” We all know what “concerns” mean when it comes to the GOP: performative BS. And in this case, the people expressing those concerns won’t even let themselves be named.

Those people should STFU until or unless they decide to step forward into the light and stand up to the dear leader.

i don’t really care what his advisors *say* they believe. their actions indicate that they’re cool with everything that happens and will continue to allow it to happen.

  15. rocketsneaker on

His advisors are actually fucking idiots if they think there will be any tangible repercussions of Trump pardoning whoever the fuck he wants.

He wants to spend his birthday pardoning the entire sex offender list

They’ll panic.  They’ll clutch their pearls.  They’ll tell each other that THIS TIME the boss has gone too far.  And they’ll do fucking nothing.

It’s almost like he thinks he can get away with this because in his first term he pardon 18 guilty American/Russian Co-conspirators for their Russian collision, and then spent a decade calling it a hoax with zero push back from lame stream media.

  19. blackmobius on

They wont stop him. They have concerns, they are worried, but nobody will dare step in to say “no”.

My money is on Maxwell getting pardoned.

  20. Worried_Monitor5422 on

Lol. There’s no such thing as too far for him. He’ll do whatever he wants as often as he wants because he’s a cult leader. No one will check his behavior and he will get away with it all.

Every human alive should be thinking Donald Trump has gone too far.

Posthumous pardon for Epstein incoming. Watch the right wing all celebrate pedophilia.

Pardoning a bunch of criminals is a strange way to celebrate the birthday of our country.
