One of the biggest dangers after a long war is the world slowly becoming numb to it and treating the invasion as just another unresolved conflict. A tribunal backed by 36 countries sends the message that launching a war of aggression in Europe should still carry consequences and international scrutiny rather than eventually being forgotten

For those curious who hasn’t signed from the Council of Europe –

“Twelve Council of Europe member states have not yet joined the tribunal agreement, including EU members Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Malta. Others yet to sign on include four Balkan countries – Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Albania – as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.”

This is really reassuring that something concrete has been done in this direction and I hope so much all these criminals in the Russian criminals will pay for all the atrocities they’ve done.

Maybe it’s a naive question, but how realistic is that Putin & Co. will be brought to trial ?
