If the Dems didn’t stand up to stop a genocide they ain’t gonna stand up to stop this

They aren’t being accused of anything.
People are just accurately describing what they are doing.
I don’t accuse bacon of being a pork product.

And? How does political theater help?
The accusation and these headlines do nothing, change no minds, and are entirely performative.

The Voter Rights act never intended for race to be a factor in drawing districts. Considering races are social constructs, and not political monoliths, I agree that taking a racially blind approach to congressional districts is the correct approach.
People don’t need their own schools, neighborhoods or congressional districts just because their skin color is different. We are all Americans.

Not only black Democrats.
Absolutely everyone is *pointing out* that Republican redistricting is Jim Crow 2.0.
It is precisely and objectively the same form of disenfranchisement.

I’m told we can redistrict however we want as long as we don’t say the word black. So…

Accuse them of whatever its not going to change a damn thing. The issues with RD have been around for a long time. Views dont change. Doing anything “because of race” will always be seen as racist on one side, and theres not a lot of ways to argue that it isnt when it is, even if the reasoning makes sense.

“accuse” is another example of how the U.S. so-called “news” media is trash. Republicans are making their intentions clear.

But it’s ok to allow ten million illegals, get them counted in the census, and allow them to vote.

The violent racism of the Jim Crow era is precisely the golden age that MAGA promises to bring back. Segregation, lynchings, different rights, different laws, different privileges.

Sorry but if you are packing your district to concentrate based on race, that is segregation. Both parties do it, but Democrats do it far more. Republicans are more often mixing races which is the opposite of segregation.
Make gerrymandering illegal.

Some propaganda agents are here spreading lies about the Voting Rights Act of 1965. If you’re not familiar with its importance in countering anti-Black racism in the US, Wikipedia has a pretty good summary.

I’m so tired of these low effort, clickbait headlines. Literally everyone still using their brain sees that’s exactly what is going on. They want to rewrite the constitution, and are doing anything they can, to get to that two third majority.
This is an administrative coup. The south is trying to rise again.
