Looks more like the Russian shot a shaped charge munition the drone was carrying which happened to blast straight towards them.
If Ukraine developed something to blast soldiers like this then the logical reason is to make the drone reusable. Here it is clearly not!

It doesn’t sound feasible to use shaped charges against soft (orc) targets when you can just fly the drone directly to target.

This looks like a regular shaped charge warhead remote detonated mid-air. Remote detonated charges instead of conctact-based have been in use for a long time already. So nothing new really.
