Essentially the deal includes a provision that would allow the home secretary to overrule the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE, a body of independent health experts who currently set drug prices and gold standard practice recommendations for the NHS) and given the US, after talking loudly about wanting other countries to pay more for medicine, have demanded this concession as a prerequisite to signing the trade deal i think its safe to assume it will not be used in the best interests of the NHS or the public.

If we don’t rejoin the EU we risk becoming a forgotten 51st state. And many reform voters will be delighted. Private insurance, high medicine prices, no NHS. All because some bigots made us leave the EUÂ
