  1. Wow, things have changed since I left.
When I grew up there they all would have passed.

Could Missouri Republicans explain to me how 58 LGBTQ+ bills are going to lower the price of gas, food, electricity, healthcare, child/elder care, home/car insurance, rent/mortgage rates, credit card interest? I realize this is state legislature, but somebody has to step up.

Actually, one anti-trans measure affecting transgender inmates’ ability to access gender-affirming care did pass in another bill and the story was updated to reflect that.

  5. Nationally, 1022 anti-LGBT bills were introduced in 2025, of which 126 passed

778 bills have been introduced in 2026 so far, 50 passed. Missouri isnt even the most active on the list, its a few bills behind Oklahoma

58 bills, zero laws, and they still burned through who knows how many hours of legislative time that could’ve gone toward literally anything affecting people’s actual lives.

So why the fuck do I keep hearing their community bitch? Nothing changed. Nothing is going to change.
