If your investment strategy is completely upended by changing the method by which your real gain on a capital asset over time is calculated, then you have a bad strategy.
Or you’re so leveraged you have finally met the point where “exposure” finally has caught up with you and I just cannot bring myself to care about the consequences of your own behaviour.
