“ She was found to have sent thousands of emails to pupils between 2020 and 2023 and gave out her phone number.”

“She said that she made up the stories so that she could feel like she belonged.”
I’d understand that if she was working in an American school and wanted to bond with the kids over shared experiences of being in firefights, but this is the UK.

“Ms Slay also sent handwritten letters to pupils, the content of which the panel found to be deeply inappropriate and unprofessional.
Pupils were instructed not to open the letters until a certain time and were also encouraged to keep them a secret, as she told them to keep “pinky promises” and to confide in her about personal matters.”

Sounds like she has quite a severe mental health issue to me. Feel sorry for her, but it’s the right thing to remove her from a position of authority.

Reminds me of a certain English teacher I had for a while. Mr Klopper who claimed he had killed a man in South Africa by feeding him bad sardines, and other bizarre stories like that.

Haha, this is my old school, which im being generous by saying it was awful, and the year after I left was put into special measures. I don’t think any decent teacher wants to be near this place.
