  1. Jeezus, the Ukrainians are destroying so much Russian AA the past months. Awesome to see.

Makes all their other mid- and long-range attacks so much more effective too.

insane, these systems are very expensive and difficult to build. i feel like we are approaching the end-game with regards to russian invasion of Ukraine. First they lost their professional army in their initial push, then they lost their heavy armor while attacking fortified UA positions like Vuhledar; then they lost their lighter armor while trying to push on several key axes; then they lost their artillery to over-use and drones; then they lost their infantry while trying to infiltrate anywhere along the frontline; and now they are losing their anti-air systems. oh and they’ve been losing aircrafts and helicopters all this time too. once their anti-air is gone, what is left there, really?

The end game is rapidly approaching. My guess is Putin wanted to see if they could make any progress in the Spring/Summer.. Thats not really playing out, and the exact opposite is happening.

At the rate Ukraine is building mid-range drones, and whats approaching the complete annihilation of Russian AD, those areas currently under Russian control will become untenable. Its why Putin has taken a softer tone with Ukraine recently, its preparation for them to try to end this war and keep the gains they have.

I’m an American, so not my place to tell Ukraine what to do, but if I was them I would not accept any peace deal with Russia that doesnt include them withdrawing from at least every area occupied since 2022. Russia is now on the backfoot, and I don’t see them regaining the initiative.

Russia built 150 Tors in almost 40 years. So yes they are dying species. They had around 300-400 Buks so they do have some left plus additional built during the war. I read somewhere yearly production of Pantsirs is around 40, definitely not enough to replenish the loses.

Looks like mostly Tor and Buk, although that radar near the end might be for an S-300/S-400 system. Hundreds of millions of dollars of losses in this video. Pretty soon and Russian air defense is going to be two guys throwing rocks and branches.
