Deleting press releases doesn’t erase what happened. It just makes it look like transparency and accountability are becoming optional, which is honestly the most worrying part

  2. We have officially entered full-blown 1984 ‘Ministry of Truth’ territory. Deleting public records and press releases doesn’t change history, but it for sure shows exactly how aggressively the DOJ is being weaponized to rewrite the narrative. Scrubbing the public database of federal convictions to protect political allies is wild

Official records cannot be destroyed, including DOJ press releases.

  4. Oh so they’re definitely getting our money. Cool. They should be in jail.

By the way, just a reminder the US Pardon Attorney was also the defense lawyer for a lot of J6 assholes who went to jail after being found guilty not by biased “lawfare” but by a jury of their peers. Oh and he was also an organizer of Stop the Steal rallies. J6 was a Stop the Steal rally…

  5. Can we please normalise calling it “trump’s Justice Dept.” I feel that’s warranted.

These are the actions of an authoritarian government that plans to subvert the will of the people in November and attempt to create permanent one-party rule. You know what you have to do. It’s time for the American people to stop being in denial about it.

  7. I’m genuinely curious how the response J6 is going to be viewed historically. Probably go up there with Reconstruction.

Someones has probably archived it. Honestly the people that are good at keeping records should be archiving every single thing they’re doing.

  9. So it didn’t happen right? That Trump communications director is some smart fella.

George Orwell called, he wants his 1844 playbook back. Wait sorry 1984. Must have been a typo in the records.

  11. The J6s were insurrectionists who tried to commit a coup, that were charged and later pardoned by the most corrupt president and administration in recent history perhaps ever. And never let this deletion or purging of press release allow anyone to forget.

November can’t come soon enough – be ready to defend your vote. Video and film anything that seems weird and post up if possible at the hot spots in contentious counties and states 🙏🏼

  12. Surely there are many copies of backup archives locked away in very discreet places. Right?

*“Nothing ‘quiet’ about it,” the DOJ Rapid Response X account said in a post replying to allegations that the Justice Department had deleted press releases related to Jan. 6.*

*“We are proud to reverse the DOJ’s weaponization under the Biden administration,” the post continued. “We will do everything in our power to make whole those who were persecuted for political purposes. This includes stripping DOJ’s website of partisan propaganda.”*
