The protests of 1968 engulfed much of the world, as millions of activists rebelled against various regimes ranging from Apartheid to Communism.
There is just one country missing from that Wikipedia article's list: Australia
Granted, there were protests against the Vietnam war and the White Australia policy (It was even mentioned on the Wikipedia article), but that's just one mention of Australia. Did Australia dismiss the revolutionary wave of '68 with "She'll be right mate"?

Apartheid yes. Communism, not so much.
Our version of 1968 had to wait until 1970. The serving prime minister went for a dip in the ocean in December 1967 and never came back. His death had a lot of repercussions and while there were protests, they weren’t as significant as around the rest of the world. It took a few years for Australia to catch up, but we did.
