I like it. Will never happen because it would require a vote not in their best interest and the liars outnumber the honorable ones.

Trump will fight this even more than he’s fought releasing those Epstein files

If a company lies about their product, you can sue them.
If a politician lies about their policies, you have to wait till the next election and hope the other side isn’t lying too.
Sadly, in this country, we’re more likely to legalize false advertising than extend it to politicians.

We need some way for the people DIRECTLY to force out a corrupt leader. Congress has shown themselves to be useless.

All elected offficials should also be required to commit to a list of goals they campaign on. If during their tenure they take actions that are not on alignment to the goals they promised they should be penalized starting with fines, up to removal from office.

For months I’ve heard people say ‘if there was just a candidate who ran on a platform of holding people accountable we would all enthusiastically back that person’. Now a former prosecutor proclaiming exactly this and everyone here has gone milquetoast.

It should be a non-controversial bipartisan idea. Which means that it won’t happen.

This can only possibly work if you don’t have an illegitimate, power-hungry and fascist supreme court.
As long as those justices are not in prison, nothing like this will ever come to pass and only help them persecute future non-fascists in power after the child rapist in chief croaks.

We need limitations that would be considered first amendment violations. Other countries have managed this without turning into a dictatorship. Fox News and their ilk need to be taken off the air. Having the ability to arrest Trump for his lies would be nice as well.
