Imagine you have to organize the logistics along that route, and you are not able to recover a simple troop carrier.

With that range they can also hit logistics coming off from Crimea. Then the entire Southern sector will have supply issues. And once they can launch drones from Mariupol they can hit the bridge cheaply, or navy assets in Novorossiysk at similar range. No more place to hide the fleet.
