Never voted Greens? Tell us what politicians are getting wrong.

TL;DR: The Green Institute is running a national survey about work, cost of living, housing, stress, and life in Australia. It is especially useful to hear from people who do not usually vote Greens. Takes less than 10 minutes, and you can go into the draw for one of 10 x $100 gift card vouchers.

Whether you usually vote Labor, Liberal, Nationals, One Nation, Greens, independent — or you are completely fed up with all of them — this survey is for you.

The plan is to talk to thousands of people across Australia about what life actually feels like right now: work, rent, bills, health, housing, family, stress, and the things politicians keep missing.

This is not about giving the “right” answer. It is your chance to be blunt about what is not working, what you are worried about, and what actually matters to you.

If you have never considered voting Greens, that is exactly why your response matters. The point is not to hear only from people who already agree with us. It is to understand what people are actually dealing with.

Survey felt buggy. It kept jumping to the next question before I’d had a chance to answer. When I hit the back button I exited the survey.

The questionnaire is flawed, it asked how many jobs I work, which is multiple, then proceeded with numerous specific work questions (income, company size, union, work from home, etc.) the circumstances are totally different depending on which job of mine you’re asking about.

  3. It’d always funny in conversations I have had with people in person, they would support the vast majority of the policy positions occupied by the greens. And when you isolate specific policies from the greens they are almost always popular. The moment you attach the greens label they become less popular.

There has been a strong and concerted anti greens campaign for decades now and it really shows.

The Greens’ obsession with Palestine, their hate towards the Australian flag and their radical obstructionism in the Senate is why they are a failing party losing votes and seats everywhere.

How many seats have the Greens ever gained in all the elections since October 7 2023? One seat. One. In the NT election, and that seat was lost to Labor at a by-election a couple of months ago.
