These socialists already pay for an extreme social safety net, providing free cigarettes is a step too far!

Do the Swedes know they are smoke free?

Sweden, 3rd place in Europe for total reported rapes and number one per 100,000 inhabitants.
But hey, they’re a smoke-free country lmao.

Great for them. I wish my country would follow

Snus is probably the least harmful method of tobacco consumption. The overall associated costs of more snus use likely doesn’t mean that much when compared to costs saved from less smoking.

But it’s still legal to smoke in sweden, and even in the article it says 5% of swedes smoke. Then 10% of young people are vaping and 20% of people are using snus. So really haven’t become smoke free and nicotine addiction is getting worse

Hmmm… I’ve been here 5 days and, thinking about it, I’ve only seen one person smoke.
Unlike back home in Ireland where I would see it everywhere.

> Sweden has reached its target of fewer than five percent of the population smoking regularly – and is consequently considered “smoke-free”.
