  1. She should get a lot more than that, and that university should be stripped of its accreditation.

  2. Paid by the taxpayer of course. Probably no recourse for those who illegally fired her.

Why so less? She lost her job after all, is it because she found a different job?

MAJOR NOTE: The article refers to “an Indiana university” and is speaking of Ball State Univ, which isn’t part of the Indiana Univ system. There are plenty of reasons to criticize the IU system but this isn’t one of them – this belongs to BSU.

It’s legally fine to say Charlie Kirk was a racist piece of shit. Karma caught up with him. The world is better without Charlie neck bleeder Kirk. I hope he’s looking up at this and praising me for using my free speech.

I’m not condoning the violence. That’s wrong. No one should be shot.

Two things can be true at the same time.

  6. Amazing how quickly we lose our 1st amendment rights the minute we voice our opinions that don”‘t align with the elites running this country.

Who the fuck is Charlie Kirk that he can’t be criticized?? All he did with his life was shit on everyone. Good fucking riddance.

  8. Ridiculous compared to the millions Trump wants to give his pedo cop assaulters but it’s a start.

  9. Gee, didn’t see that coming. At least a few people remember free speech is a thing.

Damn. I made fun of Charlie Kirk’s death a bunch and I didn’t even get fired! She does it and gets a six figure settlement!

  11. It’s amazing how quickly so many dumbasses forgot about the first amendment because MAGA crybabies started whining.

  12. One of the hacks of conservative politics (not ideology, that’s different) has been that law is slow and if you move fast enough you either outrun accountability or delay consequences until it’s irrelevant. Here people were sued for free speech, often ridiculously obviously illegally, but the intent was to silence/intimidate. I hope these very slow and deliberate wins are broadcast loudly and widely

She deserves a lot life for losing her career. Likely has to pay her attorney 1/3 to 1/2 of the settlement.

People like Mearns have it exactly backwards. They should be fired for aligning themselves with a bigot like CK and for attacking people who call out bigotry. Zero tolerance for bigots

funny how his own quotes being used against him are somehow unacceptable but to anyone else no one would give a shit.
