Risking death to get away from the French. Understandable.

We’re currently significantly behind last year, but similar to 2022, 2023 and 2024. It’s not clear yet whether we’re on a downward trend from last year which will continue or whether last year was exceptional and now we’re just regressing to the mean.
Edit: I seem to have made someone so angry with this comment that they replied and then immediately blocked me so I can’t read or reply to the comment. Not sure why that is! I’m sorry or not sorry (delete as appropriate).

I always see these stats but one thing I always wonder is whether these 1,000 people were caught, or did they get away with it and are now on the run in the country?

They’ll keep running these stories even if it goes down to 1 person per year. The media will simply never decide that enough has been done, or that migration is reasonably controlled. It’ll just be permanent outrage about migrants, forever, actual numbers and impacts be damned.

It’s those Manchester nightlife TikTok videos, how else’s do you explain 99% of them being young males?

To be fair if I was a total loser with zero hope in life or was already a criminal in my own country I’d come to the UK too – sounds like a bit of a paradise for them when we let them get away with murder here

Watched an interview today where the guy was saying how terrifying it is to put your wife and child on a boat and risk their life… escaping France. FFS if it’s dangerous stay in France because last time I looked you could be Muslim, gay, any politics, black/white/brown, poor or rich in Europe. Or has France been conquered and I haven’t noticed it?
