Talarico is pulling zero punches, and honestly, that’s exactly what Texas Democrats need to do if they want even a slim chance in November. Trying to play polite institutional politics against someone with Paxton’s track record doesn’t work. Calling it out directly like this sets a completely different, much more aggressive tone for the midterms.

As a Texan, I have liked Talarico for a while, but to be honest, I would vote for a paper bag, full of dog shit, that has been set on fire, over Paxton or Trump.
I only suspect that Trump backed Paxton because Paxton, as current Texas AG, guaranteed that he would win this race and the GOP would win most/all the House races.
Expect them to lie, cheat, steal and disenfranchise Texan voters and throw out ballots for no reason. Expect Paxton to allow Trump SS squads to be stationed at all heavily blue polling stations across Texas and I would not be surprised if they arrested voters or someone ends up getting shot or killed.
