What a non-biased article. Michaelia Cash DESTROYS the human rights commission with facts and logic.

This is clearly not a helpful situation: ‘When asked what then stops a man from putting on a dress and walking in to claim the same protections, Dr Cody answered that it would be up to a court to decide.
“That is not satisfactory. The law is in chaos,” Senator Cash subsequently said.’
However, there are obvious reasons to protect both biological women and trans-women. I would support the protection of both biological women and trans-women as separate categories.

>Cash claimed that the event had been organised by Jackie Turner, and excluded non-trans women in the same way that LAG wants to do with trans women.
>The only problem is that neither of those things are true. Jackie Turner was simply a guest speaker, and the event was open to everyone
Amazing how much you can achieve when you simply lie a bunch

>The AHRC’s battered president and commissioners only found relief from the Coalition’s onslaught during One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts’ line of questioning.
His questions were so nonsensical that the commissioners couldn’t have answered even if they wanted to.
When asked to explain his questions more clearly, Senator Roberts resorted to lines such as, “that’s all I’ve got”; “the law is an ass”; “thanks for your attendance”.
It’s always nice to be reminded that Roberts actually shows up to the Senate, as much as everyone wishes that his dear leader would instead.

I watched some of the craziness and it was batshit surrealism! What the hell happened to ‘follow the science’ and ‘facts matter’? Not to mention reality…

It’s like the Coalition no longer even pretends to want to win elections. A Teal party cannot come soon enough so that us former Liberal supporters have a sane centre-right option to vote for.

The year is 2025. The conservative force in Australia has hinged its electoral success on culture wars. It is abandoned by the wets and their voters who accuse it of being socially regressive.
The year is 2026. The conservative force in Australia has hinged its polling success on culture wars. It is abandoned by the dries and their voters who accuse it of not going far enough.

Is basting the correct word? I thought *pasting* would be right, basting is covering meat with its juices to stop it drying out and make it more delicious.
