Fedorov stated that Ukraine is launching a “logistics lockdown” for the Russian army, ensuring their rear is no longer a safe haven. To support this initiative, an additional 5 billion UAH has been allocated for direct procurement by the most effective front-line units, while large-scale competitive tenders are being launched simultaneously to paralyze enemy operations through technology.

Thats how wars are won, destroy the logistics of the enemy. Its hard to “live of the land” in bombed out eastern Ukraine. Not getting a simple thing as water to the front can collapse it really quick.

Create a death zone where you can’t even approach without getting drone bombed, makes offensive action untenable. High casualties with little to nothing gained. Choke off supplies and logistics by extending that zone back another 30 km or more, make any forward held positions untenable to even stay in for defensive purposes.
Ukraine cautiously eliminates the gray zone, turning mutually denied dangerous territory into denied to Russia zone and cautiously pushes forward as the mid rnage strikes hollow out the most forward Russian positions until they whither away.
Russia has been baling water out of a sinking boat for a couple years. Replacing losses with new conscription. They can no longer do that at the same rate they’re taking on water.

Ukraine working on making the whole occupied territories a grey zone. That’s gonna be nasty for Russia. Not only can’t they move supplies, they also have to relocate all their logistics hubs somewhere safe. For most of the territory between the contact line and the azov sea this means the hubs will have to move to Crimea or back into Russia. Resulting in even longer logistics routes.
