  1. I am baffled that any country (besides the shitholes of course) would ask to join this…

  2. Gee, who could’ve seen something like this coming…… It’s not like Trump had a charity shit down in New York because of a mismanagement of funds. It’s not like Trump University was shut down after it was investigated.

While I personally thought the grift would come later down the line in the form of Trump and Jared Kushner trying to secure deals of creating Trump properties in Gaza (recall that Trump said Gaza was prime real estate and that it could be the Riviera of the Middle East), this also doesn’t surprise me.

The man is currently trying to get the IRS, which he effectively controls, to prevent any and all future tax investigations into himself and his family. And he wants to establish a fund for which he has the authority to choose every member of the board, fire any member of the board at will, keep total secrecy about how the $1.776 billion fallowed is spent, and absolve the government of any responsibility if the disbursed funds are used for any subsequent fraudulent or otherwise improper means.

  3. As Trump himself knows, it doesn’t actually cost anything to just say you’re going to do something

The whole thing was a money laundering set up. Nobody involved didn’t just obscenely line their pockets with the money of their own citizens. Again.

  5. Pledged vs actually committed funds. Big difference. This whole peace board is a joke anyway so I doubt anyone is actually contributing serious money to it.

The old bait and switch, bait people in then switch the money to your own account.

    How is this possible!!!?
I’ve already donated over $30 Billion..

    Where is my money!?

  8. Oh, when a conman says ‘give me a billion dollars to join my special club’ and that money is suddenly not there, why is anyone surprised?

Unless they’re as bad as he is at paying bills, it’s long gone

  9. This must be the first time something with his name on it is scam or fraud.

  10. >Since the board was set up, its fund – administered by the [World Bank](https://www.france24.com/en/tag/world-bank/) and endorsed by the United Nations – has received no money from donors, the source familiar with the Board of Peace told AFP.

    >The source said money had not been deposited because the fund was designed for the reconstruction and development phase, which has not yet been reached.

    ….

    >
The board is unambiguously led not just by the United States but personally by Trump, who holds the final say and can remain in charge past his presidency.

Give him money to build hotels branded with his name, after the bombing is done and the US/Israel controls the entire region.

  11. Grifter’s gonna grift.

God, I want nothing more than someone to do a deep dive into all the shady dealings of this orange baboon one day.

I hope he and the cronies who participated in this get exposed and sent to prison, the only problem is his base will claim its deep state revenge, etc.

Trump has built the ultimate leverage with his cult following

Correct. People have figured out they only have to promise trump money to get what they want. They do t actually have to give it, he’s not smart enough to demand money first

If it ever had any funds in it they have almost certainly been siphoned off by the fraudster in chief. I cite his being banned in NY from participating in charities for doing exactly that. MAGA, whether you want to admit it or not, this is what you voted for and no, not one red cent will ever get to you. You might have owned us all but you’re going to get stolen from just like everyone else that has interacted with Trump

  15. Well someone got the money out of that pot.
Given the players in that group I don’t think there is a way to find one single thief

He took a bunch of unappropriated tax dollars (1.5B I think) to seed the fund.

    What happened to that?
