Our household watched 60 Minutes, CBS Sunday Morning, and Face the Nation every week. CBS Evening News most nights. Loyal viewers right in their target advertising demographic.
We haven’t touched that channel since Bari Weiss took over and got her hands all up in the news operation. Will never watch again.
So sad after 35+ years of regular viewing. But, that’s more CBS’s loss than mine.

After Colbert’s finale I removed CBS for my channel listing. Nothing left to see there.

Republicans know that transparency is a threat to their crimes, betrayals, and failures. Too much visibility might cause people who pretend like there’s still a possibility that there is some rational explanation for the vast evil to have to finally admit that they are just trash, and if there is one thing in this world that conservatives universally fear, it’s accountability.
Republicans can’t risk putting their base in that position, as that’s how they get trapped under social pressure into doing crazy things like admitting that human beings don’t deserve to be disposed of like waste products, and kids should never live in prison camps or be traded around as sex toys by the wealthy. Conservatives may be huge fans of human rights violations and child molestation, but they hate putting up with us woke assholes and our caring about other people.
