One of my best memories about visiting Australia is going to a pub and buying raffle tickets to win trays of meat and boxes of vegetables. I actually won two huge boxes of vegetables. Such a cool thing!

I once went to an “illegal” pub – guy had a full bar setup under his house, kegs mounted in the wall, full till, staff, tables, seating, smoking section, darts, pool, the works.
Absolutely lost it when middle of a busy Friday Arvo drinking sesh, the local butcher turned up in the blue and white smock and all, selling raffle tickets for the meat tray.
100 percent had recreated the Aussie pub experience in his own house. Best place in brissie by far.
