I would think this is going to be the easiest decision the medical tribunal ever has to make.

“A convicted NHS vascular surgeon who froze his own legs so they had to be removed has told a medical tribunal he had always put his patients first.
In September 2025 Neil Hopper, 50, of Truro, Cornwall, was sentenced to 32 months in prison and give an 10-year sexual harm prevention order for insurance fraud and possessing extreme pornography.
The General Medical Council brought the matter to the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service to decide whether Hopper’s fitness to practise had been impaired in relation to his convictions.
Hopper told the virtual hearing he had never harmed any patients and they “always came first”. The panel adjourned until 12:00 BST on Thursday to consider its decision.”
Wtf speechless. The world just gets weirder and weirder by the day. This man is obviously dangerously mentally ill and shouldn’t be allowed to be on his own never mind near people.
I think it sounds like a condition called Body Integrity Identity Disorder. If your just in shock and are looking for why he did it.
A woman who suffered from it in the us blinded her self with bleach she regretted it later (a psychologist helped her with that the psychologist is thought to have been barred from medicine) and The Black Alien Project did a lot of heavy body modifications and was going to chop of his own leg but got help, said the project lost all meaning found happiness in other things.

I remembered one last thing about this it’s the videos, right? what was the extreme porn he was watching well there’s a news article of a male escort called the

These people are extremely vulnerable and need help and when they seem to go looking for it someone helps the mutilate themself and doesn’t get them treatment.
“A 2017 survey by researchers at the University of Amsterdam of 80 people with BID found that 71.3% experienced sexual arousal related to their condition and often knew a person with an amputated limb when they were children; however, people with BID tend to seek treatment only when they are adults.”
” a 2024 case report described a person diagnosed with BID whose distress persisted despite antidepressant treatment and cognitive-behavioral therapy; elective amputation of two fingers resolved all symptoms, with immediate relief and improved functionality. A one-year follow-up confirmed sustained remission, with the patient reporting enhanced quality of life, full social and occupational adaptation, and no regrets.”
They just have a brain disorder the map of there body’s in there mind just isn’t there and no one knows how to fix that.
No one knows anything about what the body map is but there’s a few conditions where this pops up some have functional seizures, some get paralysis.
If you ever feel you have something like this go to a doctor and tell them don’t let yourself hurt yourself like that. That’s a brain disorder we don’t fully understand.
Did stuff like this ever happen before the internet like what happened? if it did it didn’t happen that much?
