Trump learned a long time ago that you can get somewhere by promising things to people and then not follow through. Its a character flaw but its free to say you will do something to get what you want (favor and Veteran support), and then not follow up by doing it.
Edit; Veterans who believe in a Draft-Dodger to do them right deserve this, the rest of them do not and that is the tragedy.

I was talking to a veteran last year , and he told me how Musk was going to fix everything and he was for the little guy. Pathetic.

This is the same administration that killed the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, and reduced funding for grant programs at VA, HUD, and DOL for addressing veteran homelessness. This crap is part of why I left the federal gov last year.
