Republicans finally step up up and ends this madness. He gets to say “I had the best deal *but /* weak RINOs in congress” or whatever lie he picks to paint himself as the victim and also the winner.

Democrats, once again, find a way to get things done while locked completely out of power. They’ve been consistently trying to get this over the line and the only thing blocking them was the GOP.
I know a lot people will now tell us how pointless it is and how late it is and write it off, but it’s another win from a losing position and another rebuke of Trump.

For the record – a couple of Republicans pretended to have a spine. Paul, who has been against this from the outset (and is still a prick), Murkowski (I believe the same), Collins (up for reelection so more furrowed of a brow than ever), and Cassidy (who is out of office this year and now can pretend he cared to keep trump in check)
The only reason it passed is because McConnell is in the hospital and McCormick was absent for some reason. They would have blocked it along with the Republican party and that letdown of a senator kn fetterman
Trump is still going to do whatever he wants. There is no mechanism in place to stop him. He’s never going to face consequences for anything either.
